3 Mistakes I See Every Week That Are Keeping Smart People Stuck
You’re not out here eating donuts for breakfast. You’re trying. You’re smart. And these three things are still slowing you down:
1. Eating like it’s still 2015
Low fat everything.
Still scared of salt.
Still chasing 1,200 calories and calling it discipline.
Back then, you could get away with that. But now your stress is higher, your hormones have changed and your metabolism has adapted.
Undereating and over-restricting just tanks your energy, raises cortisol and makes your body cling to fat even harder.
Try this instead:
-Front-load your day with protein and minerals.
-Get sunlight in your eyes before coffee (helps reset your circadian rhythm and lower morning cortisol naturally).
-Stop treating weight loss like a punishment. You need fuel to burn fat.
2. Thinking your cravings are a mindset issue
You’re not weak. You’re probably under-recovered.
Most people are tired, underfed, stressed and running on grit.
That’s not a discipline problem. That’s your body asking for help.
Try this instead:
-Focus on mineral-rich meals that support your nervous system.
-Try L-theanine or magnesium glycinate at night.
-Eat 25 grams of protein within an hour of waking up. Don’t wait.
3. Only trusting your effort. Never your data.
You track your steps. You log your meals. You push harder. But if you’re constantly bloated, exhausted, inflamed, or sleeping like crap, your body is already telling you something is off.
That’s not failure, it’s feedback.
If your plan isn’t working, it probably needs to change. Not you.
Try this instead:
-Track your sleep.
-Monitor your HRV.
-Pay attention to hunger cues, not just calories or steps.
You’re not broken. You’ve just been following rules that don’t work for your body anymore.
That’s why we offer different metabolic programs like RE|BURN, Evolution and other signature options because not everybody has the mental energy to figure all of this out alone. Our goal is to teach you how to understand your body and make real, lasting changes. So that over time, you can do more of this on your own.
That’s what makes weight loss sustainable. Not another strict plan. Just the right kind of support, at the right time.
