Estrogen Isn’t Just About Periods. It’s About Everything.

Most women only hear about estrogen in two scenarios: puberty and menopause. Maybe birth control too. But no one really tells you what estrogen actually does. And more importantly, what happens when it starts to drop.

Estrogen affects almost every system in your body. It influences how your body stores fat, how your brain works, how your skin looks, how your joints feel, how your metabolism functions, and how you sleep. It also helps regulate insulin and inflammation. When estrogen shifts, everything can feel off.

You might start gaining weight even though your habits haven’t changed. You might feel puffy, tired, anxious, or wired but exhausted. Sleep gets harder. Workouts feel different. And it doesn’t happen all at once. For many women, estrogen starts fluctuating in your 30s or early 40s and continues to shift for years before menopause.

This is perimenopause. And it’s wildly misunderstood.

Your labs might look “normal” but you don’t feel normal. That’s because estrogen isn’t just about hitting a certain number. It’s about patterns, timing, and how your body is responding to change. Most routine checkups don’t go deep enough to explain that.

If any of this sounds familiar, I created something that can help.
